A historic meeting took place in Youngstown on Thursday, October 29. Assembled together in their opposition to State Issue #3 were the Democratic Party Chairman, Republican Party Chairman, the Chief of Staff for an independent City Mayor and various members of the clergy and faith based organizations as well as other state and local politicians and civic leaders. Never before has individuals from such a broad political, cultural and denominational spectrum met in our Valley in order to stand together on a political issue. “Too often, we allow our differences, methods, and ideologies to separate us,” said the Rev. Jonathan Moore, pastor of Highway Tabernacle Assembly of God in Austintown. “State Issue 3 is of such magnitude that we are joining forces together across party lines and denominational lines for the welfare of our Valley and the future of this great State.”
