Issue? Taxes are unavoidable. The money you earn is taxed, your
employer is taxed, the property you own is taxed, the items you purchase
are taxed, and even the money you try to save is taxed. Taxes are at the
base of every public debate. Without tax money, our government would be
unable to function in the manner we have allowed them to become accustomed.
Without tax money, many political agendas would crumble.
What is the Current Debate?
The state of Ohio has a tax surplus. Should the state spend that
money, invest that money or return it to the taxpayers? The current system
of taxation in Ohio is antiquated and should be corrected to better serve
the citizens of Ohio. Even with increased spending on education across the
state we see local school districts consistently on the ballot asking for
more tax money, what's the problem? The Federal Government has seen
