What's the Issue?
There are several major issues regarding life and health. Currently, there is much debate over the issue of physician-assisted suicide, partial-birth abortion, and infanticide.  These issues are being debated both in Columbus and on Capitol Hill.

Health care is also being debated. There are continual attempts by the current administration to persuade Congress to implement more national health care notions.

What is the Current Debate?
The more government is involved in health care, the more bureaucratic, expensive and ineffective health care becomes. There are serious problems with major insurance companies as well. These firms operate HMOs that are continually suspect for limiting necessary care for patients.

What Can I Do to Make a Difference?
Learn all you can about the health care issue. Be very careful of any federal expansion of health care. If you experience serious problems with your health care plan, particularly with an HMO, get a lawyer involved quickly. Let your elected officials hear from you regarding problems you encounter, especially with HMO and other managed care plans.

Talk to your doctors and find out what they are going through as well. They may be every bit as frustrated as you are. It is also vitally important to let your state and federal elected officials know your position on life issues, particularly abortion and physician-assisted suicide.
