Reds star and manager Pete Rose was banned from
baseball for life in 1989 for betting on baseball
and served five months in prison for failing to pay
taxes on gambling income. Despite being baseball’s
career hits leader, Rose is still ineligible for the
Baseball Hall of Fame.
