WayneSHEPHERD
Wayne
Shepherd is a veteran radio host, his voice recognized
widely in Christian radio through programs such as WALK
IN THE WORD with James MacDonald, IN THE STUDIO with
Michael Card, and several other nationally syndicated
programs. Now an independent talent, Wayne
served on the staff of Moody Broadcasting in Chicago for
over 32 years, winning a number of programming awards
from the National Religious Broadcasters. Wayne is
a graduate of Cedarville University where he met his
wife, Becky. They are the parents of two adult
children and make their home in suburban Chicago.
DavidZANOTTI
David
Zanotti has been involved in the mission field of public
policy since 1977. He has served as President and CEO of
the American Policy Roundtable since 1986. In 1989, Mr.
Zanotti founded the original two-minute Public Square
radio broadcast which airs over 7000 times per year in
eight states. The Public Square is one of the longest
running news and commentary broadcasts on American radio
today. His comments and articles have appeared in
major newspapers across the United States as well as
Time, Newsweek, US News and World Report, World Magazine
and Mother Jones. He has appeared on radio and
television news programs including ABC, CBS, NBC,
CNN, C-Span, PBS, NPR and countless radio talk programs.
JeffSANDERS
Dr. Jeff
Sanders has served in Christian ministry for 18 years.
Evangelism and teaching history are two of his passions.
He has a B.A. in history from Armstrong State College in
Savannah, GA, an M.Div. and Th.M. from Capital Bible
Seminary in Lanham, MD, and a D.Min. from Grand Rapids
Baptist Seminary. He taught history in a Christian
high school, church history in a Christian college.
For the past 18 years Jeff has pastored churches in
Maryland, Michigan, and Ohio. Jeff has also done
extensive cross cultural ministry among the Chinese and
Muslims. He and his wife Alice have four children
and live in northeast Ohio.
MelanieELSEY
Melanie
Elsey earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary
Education and a Bachelor of Science in Special Education
for learning disabilities and behavior disorders, both
from Kent State University in 1984. After serving
as a learning disabilities teacher in Ohio's public
school system, she stepped out the classroom and began
conducting research on legislative policies that would
have an impact on Ohio families. She has supported
the work of the Roundtable in a policy research capacity
since 1989 and recently joined the staff as Legislative
Director. Mrs. Elsey has addressed changes
in state educational policies at the invitation of more
than 300 local communities since 1993. She has
attended monthly meetings of the State Board of
Education and numerous legislative hearings regarding
various public policies for the past seventeen years.
On numerous occasions she has publicly debated state
officials on issues regarding these important topics.
