|On Holy Week?
By Mr. David Zanotti
The irony of it all is a bit overwhelming. The United States Supreme Court is hearing two cases on the definition of marriage on Holy Week 2013. The cases will be portrayed in the light of pop culture through the media and into the imaginations of many. The real questions facing the Court may never see the light of day or a television screen. The first among these questions is this: How can five non-elected Justices, or any court or legislature, re-define a term that precedes government altogether?
In the coming weeks we will be talking a lot about these two cases on The Public Square. Please stay tuned.
